Cure Major Depressive Disorder with Celexa Antidepressant Drug part 1

Generic Celexa is an antidepressant used only when prescribed by certified healthcare professionals. Grouped under the selective-serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), Celexa, which was first developed, is formed from both the R and S enantiomorphs of citalopram. Lexapro that belongs to the same class as Celexa does not, however, comprise the R enantiomer, just the S. Therefore, even though both Lexapro and Celexa are employed to treat depression, Lexapro does the additional task of treating anxiety. Celexa is not useful in the treatment of anxiety. Occasionally, quite a few patients may come across anxiety to a lesser extent from using Celexa, but it is not an established therapy.

Medication History

Citalopram, the generic name from which the trade name Generic Celexa is resulted, was produced in 1989 by Lundbeck, a Danish drug company set up by Hans Lundbeck. The patent of invention Lundbeck owned for citalopram came to an end in 2002, permitting any pharmaceutical company to come up with its own version. A prescription is required to buy Generic Celexa
